ATZ vs Control Zone (Spanish airspace...)

I see Spanish airspace has both an ATZ and a Control Zone for some airports (all?). Why? What is the difference? I had never heared about ATZ-airspaced before I saw it in the Jeppesen eCharts-software...

I saw in the Spanish AIP, Barcelona and Mardid FIR are from GND-FL460, glass G from ground to FL150, then controlled from FL150. Is the controlled airspace within the FIRs, not covered by TMAs, called CTA in Spain? Or is it just considered "controlled part of FIR" as the AIP states?

(The AIP har some interesting English language; as do I, I suppose)
