Emirates - record profits
Duty Free - record profits
Serco - Record profits

Maybe they can afford to give us the pay rise we didn't get last year!

Well it's all me, me, me isn't it!

Heard the other day that cost of living has gone up 15%. Stoke the fire with that one.

Pay rise, afraid you guys and gals may be wishing a long time for that!!!

Things go in cycles, Serco have no problem recruiting for Dubai at the moment, the pay is very good. Especially when other economies around the world are starting to pile on the tax!!

Until there is a mass exodus, like the one 4 years ago. 10 one year 8 the next, of which I was one!! Then Serco had to go cap in hand to the UAE government to negotiate a new contract with improved pay and conditions for controllers to cover the shortage.

So just enjoy the lifestyle, and the pay packet, eventually the Arab greed will catch up, meaning rents will go sky high, and the pay in real terms will not be so attractive. Until then have a nice cold one in the barasti for me!!!

I think you`ll find there`ll be a pay rise this January alright. As for the radar room carpet, they have to start taking care of it now as when they all move to DWC in May that`ll be our pool room!

I did that when we moved in! In fact that reminds me, I never did get my ball returning machine back.
