Flight Control HD & The iPad
A colleague from the pointy end has drawn my attention to an iPad game, Flight Control HD. In it, one directs coloured aircraft to the correctly coloured runway.
There are jets, red, a fast 4 engined fat one, and a slower, skinny 2 engined one. There's a little slow single, amber in colour, and blue helicopters. There's no altitude control, one taps the aircraft and traces the desired path on the iPad screen, then moves to the next target.
The wind changes, and one must change runways, however, and aircraft sequenced and accepted for a runway, continues to that runway despite wind changes.
Now I'm more accomplished at crashing the darn things than landing them. I'm not normally a game player but find the desire to do better, almost irresistible.
My Question; mainly (but not limited) to ATCOs, is do any of you play it and if so, how successfully?

But they were kids with too much time on their hands. I managed 182 on the carrier deck (that one includes fast jets rather than fast wide-bodies) but then it all ended rather badly...
