Stack or delaying action.
Hello there.
There is a fantasy widly spread among parisian ATCOs.
Many of them claim that pilots prefer delaying actions from ATC (ie fly several different heading for a while) to simply hold in a stack.
I believe this is not the case, and that the use of stack is much more appreciated by pilots.
Am i right?

I think pilots prefer to let the passengers to see they are still "flying" ,it happens in China also. Some of them think orbit is delay ,but radar vector to make a maneuver is not delay.

I think speed reduction enroute is preferred.
"Arrange speed to be overhead FIX at time XXXX, to avoid holding" rather than "Join holding FIX, Expected further clearance time XXXX".
