Work in the ME?
Wondering what it's like to work and live down there!
How's the equipment?
Hours on work / vacation?
Pay?
Does the employer help with housing and practical things on arrival?
Estimated time for a check-out?
Which place NOT to work?
And anything else of interest!

Check current threads regarding GCAA and Muscat.
A short answer to your questions, 1. Good. 2. poor to adequate. 3. Good. 4. Good. 5. Barely, they tend to cover the bare minimum and leave you to your own devices. 6. 3-4 months. 6. Currently the worst unit - UAE ACC, apply at your own peril, inmates are currently trying to leave. Muscat is a better option but plenty of red tape, Bahrain is possibly the best unit to be at.
Now do some better research, there is tons of info. Don't read past the first 2 pages as it just gets into mud slinging.

You obviously don't work in UAE centre. Might I be so bold as to suggest you delete your last post before you shoot some of your workmates in the foot and they punch you in the face. I believe if you take 10 days you get 14 not as you suggest.

Why not write in English like 99.9% of people on this site? With so many free translators online, you aren't hiding anything (if that was your intention) by writing it your native tongue.

Hi guys,
I'm a spanish ATCO and was thinking of moving from spain, and I've only heard good things about UAE. Good salary, good extra-salary helps (I've got 2 kids) and, one of the main points for me to consider an ANSP, the climate MUST be fine... Being spanish, my wife won't stand even a year in a central/northern european climate, without 8 sunny months at least, she will wither and I will suffer the consequencies...
That said, UAE seems promising to work AND live, soooooo.... Would any of you UAE workers be so kind to point me to some resources that may help??? Whatever you feel may be helpful for me would be appreciated, links to different providers with further info, jobs offers, inmigration help, links to human resources offices, whatever...
Thanks in advance, and hoping to hear from you,
Angel
