Come on, get real, you are training to be an ATCO, you HAVE to learn to drink too much coffee
However, I am unable to assure you that time will be provided to do this as I have not been there since 1988.

Thanks...this is very helpful.
I used to enjoy the coffee from the machines at the college. They probably have a Starbucks there now. I take it you like tea? If not, I fear your future career as an ATCO is doomed.

You seem more interested in the time off than the work you`ll be doing. Hmmmm.....

The only doubt overyour dedication to become an ATCO is that it has taken so long for you to ask about breaks!
You really need to get these things sorted out earlier - it's the one thing that doesn't get taught at college - maximising break time is completely based on natural aptitude

Is it possible to have a laptop with you while you are attending your classes?
**EDIT**
Let me clarify that I'm not talking about using your laptop while in class.

Regarding the laptop, no problems, but one question, why ? Typing up notes would be a waste of time in my humble opinion....does it all go in the grey matter as much when typing it up ?
I think there's evidence that writing is more effective, from a memory point of view: paper's more effective than pixels.

I don't like tea either. I'm more of a water drinker.

Back in 1982 we used to spend the lunch break at a local pub, The New Queen or something like that. The instructors often would as well.
But I guess that would be frowned upon now.
(in fact lesson number one on arrival was to memorise the map of local pubs on the back wall of the classroom)
