Luton approach move

Quick question. When did approach move to TC? I was trying to remember last night as part of a conversation with some friends (yes those winter evenings DO fly by), but I couldn't remember exactly. I thought it was 1999 but my friend thought 2002. What is the correct answer please...

Yes Im pretty sure they went down to TC in 2002. Essex Radar INT & FIN shifted up to the left closer to the TMA NORTH to make way for Luton to occupy the 'new boys' slot which Stansted had previously occupied!

. . . or elsewhere?

The definitive answer . . . ATC at Luton was subcontracted to NATS in Oct 2000 and Approach moved to West Drayton in Feb 2001.

. . . . and I retired two years ago tomorrer!!!
