Thanks HU, thats great. Are there any people reading this that have got their ADI rating and are struggling to secure a post? Or do you know specifically of anyone in such a position? If so, how long since the ADI? Thanks VM HU I hope it clears soon.

Nokio,
I funded my own ADI recently after I was chopped by NATS and as some of the others have said, the colleges are really helpful at letting you know where vacancies arise. I think some airfields actually ask the college if there are any trainees which would be suitable, but cant say for sure.
When I finished my course the hard work began of trying to find employment however, in contrast to what goatface has said, I had a lot of interest from prospective airfields. I will stress though, that it is hard finding that job and you will have to be prepared to spend a lot of time and effort in searching and travelling around the country for visits/interviews.
Its an expensive option which focuses the mind, especially during summatives and exams, however I am one of about three people I know of who have taken this route post NATS, and there was also an ex blippy on my course and all of us have jobs as ATCOs.
Hope that helps

Follow up Question; how long ago was it that you did your ADI? And have you gone on to further ratings?
It's very encouraging to read your post. TY.

Are there any people reading this that got their ADI rating and found it majorly difficult to secure a post?
Can I ask self-funding ADI only starters to please share their experiences and anything you wish you had been aware of beforehand.
I'd be extremely grateful for any advice and wisdom, and how it worked, or not, for you.
I wish you self-funders were more forthcoming, there's gotta be a load of you out there. Come on! I'm one post away from offering sexual favours, and I had hoped I'd left all that behind at NATS.
