EDDS Tower on strike this monday afternoon from 1600 to 2200 local
Stuttgart Tower will be on strike this afternoon and only handle 25 percent of it's usual movements. This was announced by GdF union, DFS ATC and the airport. Just this afternoon from four to ten.

So, when exactly is the "best" time to go on strike? When there's no traffic? Yes, we live in hard times just now, that's no excuse to be continously shafted to the point where you have no other alternative. German ATCOs do not go on strike that easily. Might be wiser to be aware of the reasons before judging fellow aviation professionals.

The harsh reality is that whilst there is a surplus of pilots in the World, there is a shortage of ATCOs, country by country, Worldwide.
Doesn't have the same impact when those facts are stated...
