Dangerous question
I remember during a stint of army service with air force intelligence in Switzerland doing a recce flight in an Alouette 3. Apart from the pilot there were 4 air force pax and one infantry intelligence officer. The infantry guy was seated beside the pilot and, once we had started, asked the pilot in all innocence if he would not rather have been a fighter pilot and how flying a helicopter must be so boring...Instinctively the guys with the blue shoulder pads (air force) all tightened the seatbelts. When we landed the poor infantry guy had to clamber over the air force officer besides him to get to the bushes in time....
Needless to say we all got a good laugh and I dare say someone learnt a valuable lesson.

Boring only if you handle the same situation the same way every time, a sort of one trick pony type deal. You should never stop learning. After 29 years of being in ATC I must say that each day has been different, best job in the world (unless I could get a job as a suntan lotion applier for the SI swimsuit models) . While it may be slow at times that can change at a drop of the hat.
