Thank you ATCO & SATCO
After a year working in ops I take a unique call from a SATCO wanting to pass his and his ATCO's praise on to the Instructor and student pilot after the student returned from his first solo fight out of the zone.
After a little convincing (at first they thought I was joking) the student and Instructor were happy to the point of blushing. The student had no idea why he should receive such praise as it was not explained by the SATCO. I blame the shock of the moment, as I never thought to ask.
Thank you Bournemouth ATC for taking the time to make the call, more so given the various 'situations' you were having to deal with at the same time. You made a number of people quite proud and happy, it's so nice to know when it all goes right.

Perhaps they haven't had a first solo leave the zone since this http://www.aaib.dft.gov.uk/cms_resou...pdf_500851.pdf and were relieved he returned safe and well.
Ah, maybe that's what 2 sheds meant!
