8.33Khz UK transition area??

Hi, just wondered if someone could help. I once heard the UK was a transition area for 8.33, but on stuff i have read recently it sounds as though it is now mandatory above FL195 in CAS, so the UK is no longer a transition area.

Any help?? Thanks!

8.33 is now mandatory above FL195 in UK airspace.

However when an aircraft needs to get above weather and the sector is not using an 8.33 frequency (all of Scottish ACC) we do allow you up there.
