Our scheme at Scottish is limited to a handful of airlines only.

UK Deptartment of Transport edict states that we are only allowed in the jumpseat of UK registered airlines whilst in UK airspace so that effectively rules out Ryanair and Aer Lingus unless you spend part of the flight hopping in and out of the cockpit to avoid UK airspace (as is currently done on one of the foreign airlines in our scheme).

Some of the airlines also charge us tax on the ticket so obviously they're not proving popular to travel with. We currently have a great fam flight relationship with BA domestic, Easyjet and Virgin Atlantic and both sides benefit according to our feedback.

throw a dyce:

I wouldn't go on the EGPD-EGNJ fam flight, because I got a problem with them flying everywhere in Class G airspace. In fact I bumped into one of the guys going off on that very flight, and I just said ''Your brave''.
Guess what. They got an excellent view of a Tornado in Class G.

I think you can get lots of info from some of the flight deck videos.Or get your flight sim fired up on the computer and fly it yourself. Why sit there getting a hard time from security. The only fam flight I ever took ended up with severe food poisoning.Could hardly get back I was so much. Thanks SAS.
Flight deck videos eh... they are really interactive aren't they?

I appreciate this may not be what some of you are aiming at, especially given previous comments about Class G airspace, but if anyone would like to see things from a GA (heli) perspective then I will happily accommodate them from any Midlands (or close) airport for a flight.

PM me if your interested.

Thanks HeliCraig, hopefully a local ATCO will take you up on your kind offer.

Cheers
