ATIS

Have things changed since I stopped flying professionaly 4 years ago?
Then on the ATIS if one was expected to announce one's aircraft type and/or the QNH together with the ATIS identifier it was mentioned on the ATIS. - "Acknowledge Information Alpha received with aircraft type and QNH"

Is it now standard practise in the UK to announce ATIS Ident plus QNH? If so where is the requirement laid down?

The reason I ask is that one airfield I visited recently expected me to give the ATIS ident plus the QNH but there was no mention on the ATIS of such a requirement.
