UK ATC Question - LARS radar controllers..
Very quick question...
Flying in Class G airspace within an AIAA (say Oxford) not en route but doing aerial work / air work...
Would you rather just see my 7000/c on your screen and not talk to me at all, or would you prefer that I called up my details and intentions and (if manoeuvring and changing level/hdg a lot) advised you of my operating area/levels and requested FIS?
Seeing as its an AIAA I am guessing it might be better to get a basic service, but wouldn't want to waste your time if you are busy...
Cheers...

You are just the sort of pilot we need to talk to, you'd get a RIS at best, but we still need to know what you are up to.
Pilots undertaking this sort of activity who do not communicate present a nightmare to us as we have to assume you are unknown traffic and apply standard separtion aginst u and RAS traffic.
CALL!
