From what I have heard, NATS are good at putting people starting together in touch beforehand. Outside of that there is nothing that I'm aware of.

You'll get an email from your line manager around 5-6 weeks before you start asking someone to set up a course whatsapp group. Other than that there are no generic ones.

Anyone else recently passed stage 3 and has been given a verbal offer, and has now received an email stating you now need to do additional assessments. Any idea what these could be. Feels a little unfair that we have passed all their assessments and been given a verbal offer, and now require us to do more. Thanks!

Yeah, I received the same email. I agree with your sentiment. The email was very vague, too, with no real clarity on why or what to expect. You'd of thought they'd of waited until the next round of hiring but I'm not sure the reason. It definitely does feel like jumping through more hoops even though we've all jumped so far already!

When did you pass stage 3 if you don't mind me asking? I passed early July and haven't heard anything like that.

Yes from what I've heard it's for people starting in 2026 instead of 2025. I think it's silly they didn't tell us from the beginning that this was a possibility but hey the job will be worth it (right...). They will give all info when they give out invites to the centre (they said when invites would be out on original email)

Medical

After creating a CAA account how long roughly does it take to book a medical? And how many date options did you guys receive? From where I am traveling all the way down to Swanwick will be a big deal and would like to know how much notice I get to plan!

It took me a few days in total from registering with the CAA portal to completing the form, then a few days after that for the appointment to be booked. You don’t get a choice on the date or time, it is booked for you, but mine was booked in a few weeks in advance — you’ll have plenty of time to prepare as I travelled far too for mine!

They are expecting you to go ahead with the medical and associated expenses with another assessment centre to follow?

So far yes, have said to keep going as expected. I'm taking that as the assessment won't have too high a fail rate... (hopefully)

Hello, how long does it usually take to gain sc clearance? I submitted my application 3 months ago and I'm still waiting.

Hey, has anyone heard from NATS Recruitment regarding when the next batch of Stage 3 Assessments will go ahead? I applied back in May and passed Stage 2 in June but haven't heard anything since other than the occasional email saying that they'll be in touch.
