Hey guys I too have interview this Friday and feeling pretty nervous about it. Was wondering if anyone knows the details we need to prep for. My laptop has recently just crashed and seemed to delete everything from my hard drive and email so all of a sudden i'm feeling pretty scared and uninformed

Cheers

I have my stage 1 on the 11th November in the morning. Gonna be driving down from kent on the day so gonna be pretty bleary eyed!
Can't decide if it might be worth getting a place in the premier inn!
Feeling fairly prepared, but obviously anything can happen on the day!

KirjE and Rok87: thanks kindly for your advice. I will certainly book as close as I can to take account of the traffic, the thought hadn't really crossed my mind until you chaps mentioned it; the De Vere New Place sounds ideal as it's away from the busy areas and cheap (looks suitably plush too)!
I wish you chaps going on the 11th the best of luck, and if there's anyone going on the 12th (as I am) please feel free to drop me a pm.

Although at Stage 1 your attire doesn't matter, I think you'll find yourself more comfortable wearing a shirt, trousers and shoes (no tie/jacket), as the other applicants will be in a similar style of dress.
You don't want to stand out as the guy who wore jeans/t-shirt/trainers at the Stage 1...!
But you'll probably be told to take off your ties and jackets when you get in the room (our group was!)

Yes, everything on the Stage 1 is multiple choice.
But there are often boxes for "None of the above" (which are the correct answer occasionally), so you will need to know exact answers for a lot of the questions

Had Stage 1 today. Tale of 2 halves really; the ATC and nemeracy paper were very straightforward but the cubes and diagramming were pretty challenging- I only managed 31 on cubes and 33 on diagramming so looks like I'll be back next year!
Good luck to all!

got my stage 1 next friday, and just received an email from HR titled
"Updated Interview Information"
saying that additional information is available regarding your selected interview.
however, I've read the email a few times and can't spot anything new in there at all.....
anyone else received this??

I got a similar one a month ago -ish, but I just left it at that since nothing was changed. Haven't heard anything more on the subject since.
Edit: Acctually it seems I got one today, but it's still just the same details as I've always had. Maybe someone of us should mail HR and see?

Yeah same here, it would be my worst nightmare to have it cancelled now since I've spent a lot of money on plane tickets and stuff getting there.
Right now I just want time to go faster though so I can get over there, meet some of you guys and take the tests. I'm nervous but also really looking forward to it!

5 people and counting then
How do you guys feel for next week? Confident, nervous, scared?
I myself feel confident, but I am at the same time not taking anything for granted. I belive this might be the hardest test I've taken so far in my life and I'm preparing as much as possible to come there and really be challanged. But I have a gut feeling that I'm able to do this, as long as I don't take anything for granted and keep working and go in there with the mindset to do my very best. How ever if I get overconfident or start thinking I've already passed, then I've got no chance.

Try not to stress yourself out too much. The only thing you can really prepare for are the DST calculations and reading of the pre-test document. The rest isn't really anything you can prep for. Just get a good nights sleep and a big breakfast in the morning.
