Hi Xinebessa,

any feedback on your stage 3? Very jealous that you have done it and got it out of the way! They only offered me dates in January, so I have got to wait till the 14th - oh well, I guess that gives me lots of prep time!
Hope you hear soon and that it is good news!

Can anyone tell me where/when I'm supposed to send all my certificates of proof I've got GCSE's etc. and am I supposed to send all my educational certificates or just the relevant ones?
I've had all my medicals and passed them all but not heard from them yet to say when I'm starting. Granted my medical was only last thurs but I got a call from the medi center to say they had it. I just want a start date so I know I'm on a course. Last thing I heard was that they were booking people in for August. I don't want it to be pushed back further to like November. It's depressing enough to think I need to stay at my current job till August . x

Normally you need to either email or post copies of evidence of all qualifications you entered as part of your application form.

HR department are the people who want them - you should have the addresses (both email and post) on your application stuff.

It's just weird because they didn't say where to send them.

I'll send my GCSE's tomorrow then. And hope to god they don't get lost in the Christmas post. Special post I spose.

Am I likely to be given a date before I send them in?

Photocopies will suffice - don't send originals!

No idea what's happening with start dates - I'm already at the college.

STAGE 2

Hi,
I am new here so Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any possible tips and help.
I have my Stage 2 interview process on 28Jan and everywhere is written you can't really prepare for FEAST test, you have to have that in you, etc. But I thouroughly belive that YOU CAN prepare for everything or at least condition your brain prior to it, so any games that are available online or any other things that might help, if you know about them please write it down.

BIG THX!!!

HiI had an email back the other day saying that I had passed stage 2 and I was through to the interview stage. I followed the link and have completed the personality questionnaire. I have just followed the link to choose an interview date but where there was usually a list of dates to choose from, there is a statement saying something along the lines of 'no dates for interview available, contact the hiring manager on the number above'. There is no contact details for anyone on that page so i'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I'm quite happy to go through HR the long way but just thought that this was unusual! Also, is HR the best way of getting into some towers to have a nosey?ThanksDavid

Aircraft Data

Hey,

I have got my stage 1 tests booked for January, and I have a stupid question to ask.

As part of the ATC paper, I was wondering if you needed to study every specific figure in the aircraft data listed on the 'test document material' supplied, for example, am I likely to get a question asking for the amount of passengers a Boeing 737-700 series can carry?

I hope you don't mind me asking this question, as I don't want to have an unfair advantage over those who have been before me.

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas everyone.

Al.

Hi there

So i thought i'd jump in first before someone else jumped down your throat and starting ranting that 'if nats give you a test document you should learn it all because if your trying to find shortcuts at this stage then what are you gonna be like at the college bla bla bla...(it's happened before, just read back on the forum.)

Anyways what i will say is that while it looks like a lot of info at first glance(i thought the same) after you read it a few times it's not as bad and you start to find trends that make it easier to remember the info. No, you won't need all the info for the tests, of course you won't, you will in fact only need a relatively small amount of the info, but im not going to tell you what, because then that would be an unfair advantage! Just try your best to learn what you can and if you can't quite remember every little piece of info on the day, don't panic, just ace the rest of the paper!

Hope that helps

Adam

Hi folks.

My name's Paul, a 20 year old from Belfast who by some act of God have been invited to attend the stage 1 selection process. I've yet to confirm the date because I received the email about 2 hours ago and I have to grovel with my family for money before I can confirm anything!

I'm not going to be disrespectful by saying ATCO is something I've always wanted to be - it isn't - but I do love aviation and spent a few years glued to MS Flight Sim.. then again, I'm sure you all have lol.

The thing is, I've no idea what to expect (same as everyone else) and I was just wondering what SHOULD I expect? (NB. I have read a few of the pages in this topic - but she's a long topic!)

I have the test materials document which I'll be revising. But really, I know nothing about ATC other than what ATCOs do.. at the stage 1, am I going to get bombarded with jargon I've never heard before? Things like ILS and FMC I'm familiar with, having used MSFS, but is this one of those interviews that only a super-wannabe would pass, or can anybody with a high level of desire with low level of knowledge at least have a shot at this?

Everything else I'm studying for will be put on pause while I do my homework on ATCing but basically I'm just bricking it now because this would turn my life around.

NB. I'll be flying from Belfast to England to do this, so I'm not dossing around on this one and I am/will be taking this rather seriously.

Thanks in advance.

Paul.
