Talking of the stage 2 tests, has anyone done computer based tests at the OASC at RAF Cranwell? (either with the RAF or through GAPAN perhaps?)
Just wondering if there are any similarities? (I would imagine that there are).

The tests are vaguely the same with mental arithmetic, multi tasking etc. If you found the RAF ones ok, then I should see you having no problem with the NATS ones. They both use the same kind of skills.

Hi all, first post here having been lurking for a few weeks... actually since the day after stage 1 assessment when it occured to me to get googling... should've done that earlier but have made it to the confidence shredding personality assault which I did last night.
Am waiting for the results now... tic, toc, tic, toc

Well, I have just had the pleasure of doing the personality questionnaire.
I swear I have come out of it looking like some sort of anti-social, modest, strange person.
Let's hope that's what they're looking for!
I seriously contradicted myself so many times 'cause it was hard not to
Hmmm.
Waiting game begins again.

I completed the lovely personality questionnaire on Tuesday morning, still waiting for the results myself. I found it impossible not to contradict yourself on a couple of the questions, but I was honest as possible. Don't fancy waiting another 15 days though

had my stage one yesterday and this wait is so nerve racking! not even been a day!
i was wondering, did anyone have to do a personnality questionaire on the day or was it only if u pass the tests? i thought you had to do one on the day and then another one if you passed the ability tests but yesterday i only did 3aptitude tests, motivation paper and watched the video. do u usually have to wait the full 15days to hear back?

You will be asked to do the personlaity test only if you pass the initial aptitude tests.
Its a long wait, I got my email 18 days after sitting the Stage 1 stuff

Stage 1, Manchester
Hi Sportzbar, which one were you this morning? I was sat in the middle on the back row when we were all signing in etc. How do you think you did?

Just got the email about my personlaity test and it appears I have cleared stage 1.
Good news is the sick feeling in the bottom of my stomach has now gone and that copy of Graham Duke's book I bought nearly 3 months ago will come in handy.
Off to read all i can about S2. Finger crossed. Hope everyone else waiting gets the same result

Same with me. I got the email little more than half an hour ago.
Massive relief. Congrats to anyone who made it and I seriously feel for anyone who hasn't. Good luck to those doing their personality test - I really hated it.
I just want to ask how long after completing the application form online do you get the interview and second stage testing?
Also how soon should I fill it out? I'm away from home at the moment so can't look at my exam certificates until sometime next week. I'm really hoping I wouldn't be handicapped for this. I may have to risk getting the exact date wrong or whatever.

I passed the personailty questionnaire aswell, got an email about an hour ago. Seems my modest, anti-social personailty is a requirement for an ATCO? Congratulations to everyone else who got past stage 1.
Now to dig out those certificates and fill in this application form

Woohoo, got mine back, through to S2... Time for a bit more swotting... and I agree, antisocial, modest & not very caring! What's important as has been said so many times, is to be honest. As much as I'd love the job, I'd prefer them to decline the real me than accept a fake that hated the job 6 months down the line...

they ask for your grades and dates. i assume theyll want to see the certificates at some point. mine were 8yrs ago, lucky my very proud mother kept on to them for me. im sure you can get copies from the exam board or school, probably be an admin fee though.

Well, I have my degree on the wall. Most places dont ask for anything before that as you cant get on a Bsc degree course without A levels/GNVQ. Cant get those without 5 GCSEs.
Oh well, if I get that far I will have to dig around in my parents house.

whitelighter,
Better start digging - I had to provide copies of all certificates for *all* qualifications mentioned in my application, so everything before degree as well as those certificate(s).
