How do I get permission to do this ?
Before anyone thinks this is a wind up, it is a genuine request.
I have a specialised photographic business that uses a telescopic mast mounted on a Land rover (up to 80 foot extended)
see www.highcamera.co.uk this is not intended as an advert, just to show the vehicle set up.
If I am assigned a job close to an airport, what limitations and permissions will be required.

Speak to the particular airport operations department. They will need to ensure that the mast does not penetrate any of the protected slopes and surfaces surrounding (principally) their instrument runways.
80ft is not going to be a problem unless you are in line with the runway centreline and VERY close to the threshold.

Just throwing this into the pot. According to Ofcom:
"If your CB station is situated within 1 km of any aerodrome, the height of the antenna and any supporting mast or structure must not exceed 15m."
I suspect that has nothing to do with the radio aspects but everything to do with the obstruction. I suggest you check it out properly before erecting it.

Blimey, where do they get that from? 1km away, 15m is insignificant. The Inner Horizontal Surface which is fairly close in, is 150m AAL and approach slopes/take off climb surfaces will soon be above 15m.
Believe or not, there is no law to prevent a crane operator erecting a crane just outside an airfield. There is a British Standard which says, something along the lines of, if you intend to erect a crane above the surrounding buildings and trees within (I think) 7km of an airfield you should consult with that airfield, but I have come across crane operators who have never heard of it!! All you can do is threaten them with Article 73 (Endangerment).
