September Course?

Hi All,

Found out today that I passed the 2nd stage, and pending the medical, will be starting on the September course this year - still in a state of shock, and can't believe I am through...Someone poke me - this has to be a dream!!

Was just wondering if there is anyone else here that is also booked onto the September course? Would be nice to get to know a few people before we actually start

Regards,

Gareth

Found out myself last Monday that i too would be starting in September as well. Still got to do the medical as well, but still on cloud nine about getting this far. What interview day did you have, i haven't heard from anyone that was on mine yet. Anyway congrats,

Steve

Glasgow 4th July

Hi Gareth,

Congrats first of all, how did you find out? Email? This is Chris by the way from interview day. I've not heard yet but got positive feedback on day. Pretty sure I passed the three elements so hopefully it'll be good news. Won't get carried away just yet though!

Hi, found out today that I passed, have my medical on the 28th July. If I can get out of the RAF in time, I hope to be on the September course.

Just out of interest guys, when was it you submitted your initial application?

I'm going to be applying but need to get the timing right so I can save enough money before starting college. That's assuming I'll get through the selection process........

From my experience and from reading the forum I would say its a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' situation. I applied in May 2005.

I applied in January 2006, but have been deployed ti the middle east for 2 months, and also left it quite a long time between me tests and interview (about 7 weeks!)

I know of a guy who applied in Febuary, and he started the college a few weeks ago. So it really depends on you, and how quickly you can go to the various stages.

One thing that I will say, is don't leave your application too late, as I'm sure that NATS can't keep up the current rate of recruitment for ever!

Good luck with you application

Ian Dickson

I believe the current 'record' stands at just under two months from submitting apllication to starting at Bournemouth.

hey all! i will also be on the september course.

SACrIGGER i am also in the RAF. my exit time was 12 months and even though i'm on leave now (and have been from june) they wouldn't let me out early to get the june course. i guess it'll depend on the manning situation in your trade at the moment.

As for the rest of you, see you there in september!

D'oh! just realised the pram/teddy reference is from a different thread but I'm sure you have read it or can use your imagination.

just found out i didnt get through the interview stage. was kinda 50/50 on it anyway, didnt do as well as i could or should have. going to apply for eurocontrol now and possibly re-apply to NATS next year.

Would anyone know whether more applicants get through the first time the apply or the second time?

Speedbird,

From what I have heard on the forum, most get through on the second attempt, so don't be disheartened just think of what to improve and reapply next year. It should say on the nats site the date which you applied, so give it 12 months and go for it again. I'm sure with the knowledge that you will have gained from your first application, you will be in much better form to reapply.

Good Luck,

Ian Dickson
