Manchester Corrected

How come everytime I listen to the VOLMET, when MAN comes up they say 'Manchester corrected.......' are they always making mistakes???

I think they occasionally do not mention rain and then have to........................

It doesn't always rain at Manchester! There was a dry day just a couple of years back.

When that assistants at Manch make a Met ob they send it on to the Met Office via a forecaster who adds a Trend on to the METAR, hence the METAR is always corrected.
