frequencies

hi everyone

My name is Lewis Ellway, I am currently 16 and have a great interest in aviation, and now more often than not aircraft flying above the house, tracking them on the frequencies, I was given a year or so ago. I live in west drayton, and although I can track the aircraft above going into stansted, I wanted to know does some one know all the frquencies for aircraft flying above west drayton. The typical flight level of those aircraft and any other known details like what is the vor point they are heading for or what airport are they tyically coming from or going to.

all the best and thank you very much in advance

all feedback would be great

cheers

Lewis ellway

p.s. can you also tell me if you know where the aircraft are being controlled from when working a certain frequency, obviously I can pick up West Drayton atcc, but not swanick. thanks again Lewis.

Hi Lewis, you should probably read this: http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=206063 before you go too much further. Once you've done that, register on www.ais.org.uk then you can get access to the UK AIP which gives you more information than you could ever want to know about airports etc.

Lewis,

Whilst the controller maybe at West Drayton or Swanwick, their transmissions are broadcast from remote stations around the country. You might find that you can pick up some of the Swanwick frequencies that are broadcast nearer to you. Lakes and North Sea will be more difficult to pick up!

You best bet would be Heathrow frequencies

Regards
