ATC Class 1 Medical Eye Test

Re ATC Class 1 Medical Eye Test, are you given the
Ishihara Test ie dots in circles representing numbers/shapes. I recall taking the test many years ago and not doing that great, though I'm certain my red/green perception is fine.
If you score badly on this test can you kiss goodbye to a career as an ATC ??. Thanks

You get the common dot test as you have mentioned in your post, if you have a problem with it the CAA can recommend you to take a lantern test where you are given lots of different light sequences (red, green or white - 2 vertical lights). I had to take one of these as the results where inconclusive with the Ishihara test!!

This was a very recent topic being discussed on here, if you look down the board a bit I'm sure you will find it!

edit: Twas on page three of the boards -> http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=219358
