thanks to Alitalia crew

Just a brief post to thank the crew of the Alitalia 62M that was routing RODOL- REMSI yesterday.
We'd an Iberia a/c that very quiet despite repeated calls and we were just gearing up when the Iberia crew pipped up saying they had been contacted on guard. Turns out the very thoughtful and resourceful Alitalia crew had been listening to my unanswered calls and taken it upon themselves to check the Guard freq.
Great to see such cooperation.
Cheers

Just out of interest, what do you mean by 'just gearing up'?

STH, not sure you'll get many answers to that one. Bit sensitive like.

Sorry, but what's the guard frequency ? Would that be the emergency freq as in 121.5 ?

Gonzo

Yeah I know - I was fishing

VHF GUARD = 121.5

UHF GUARD = 121.5 x2 = 243.0

Easy to remember like!

Regards

Shouldn't you be making your strange cakes for those lovely girlies in HR?
