When I can remember not to say "No ATC speed restriction!!!"
I only had one day, then went on leave. (Best way if you ask me)
I'm still not sure exactly what it is meant to achieve. I know that it will stream those out of the same airfields, but when I have departures from 5 different airfields, if they all do 250 knots then they will still all arrive at the same place at the same time!!!!
So far the only thing it has done is take up a lot of R/T time as I have to remind/explain to pilots that I can't remove the speed restriction!

Oh well..... I shall wait for my colleagues to enlighten me.
Cheers,
N

Apparently, according to collegues and the other thread, its to enable TC to stream the outbounds easier going in the same direction from the different airfields as at the slower speeds its easier to apply vectors to get the trailing started. I'd say that removing the restriction at timely places will also enable this to occur, but as to whether it'll work in reality is still to be seen.......
