BNN 3A Arrivals @ EGLL

Wonder if anyone can help me here. Say a flight from EGCC to EGLL is flying the BNN3A STAR and is directed to do so by ATC, I understand they would fly according to charts i.e. HON VOR - TOBID - SOPIT - WCO NDB - BNN VOR after which the aircraft would be directed with headings.
What happens if the aircraft has not been directed by the time of reaching Bovingdon? Do they fly a holding pattern, or proceed towards KENET?

Thanks,

Kirk

You would be expected to fly around in right hand circles at 220kts on the 121 degree track, and hear "delay 10-15 minutes" or something....

It states in black and white on the plates for all the stars into lhr that you DO NOT proceed beyond BNN (or OCK, LAM, BIG) without ATC instruction.
Therefore, yes, you take up the hold.

Ah yes, I was referring to that Link between the L9 route.
