Manchester Questions

Can someone please tell me what traffic MACC is actually responsible for please? I've heard different from different sources. Currently I understand it to be traffic in north of england below fl290??? and coordinate traffic departing and arriving at manc, liverpool, east mids, leeds-brad anywhere else......? Does Manc Area control control departures from newcastle? Thanks, oh and also what are the holds at Manc? I know Rossen to the north

As far as I am aware Newcastle falls under Scottish area control, but only just.
As for what MACC controls, it is TMA airspace from SFC-varying levels up to FL195 to the south, FL290 to the north...I may be wrong on this.

Holds at MAN are MIRSI(NW), ROSUN(NE) and DAYNE(S).

Newcastle southbound deps via P18 are worked by MACC North Sector, they come to us climbing to FL150. We also get SE Newcastle deps via London Mil at Unmbel at FL250 into East sector.

Hope that helps
