Quick Ident Question

Sorry if this has been asked before, couldnt find anything on search.

Just curious. If your instructed to ident with a code and your in range of a couple of other radar units, does the ident show on the other units radar screen or will the display only show idents with codes for that unit?

Thanks
Stu.

Surely it will only show up on radar displays which have the actual code or "all codes" selected?

The onboard SSR box sends out additional pulses when the pilot selects "Ident"... and these pulses will be detected by ALL SSR receivers and trigger an ident indication on ALL screens.... some sytems (as alluded to by HD) allow controllers to select which codes to display; in which case if the ident code is not selected the pilot will not receive any SSR data (inc ident) on that track.
