Settle A Bet Amongst the Ignorant

Hi Chaps,
I seem to remember reading that Heathrow / Gatwick / Stansted and Luton radar control is now at the London ATCC and that there are no radar controllers on site at the airport. However I say that they are at West Drayton but my friend insists they are at Swanwick which I claim only has enroute traffic.
Can any kind soul tell me which of us is the more wrong?

(And yes I did try the search functions)

the approach functions will not be at swanwick until TC moves down in "2007".

Swanwick only houses enroute and the military at the moment.

The Approach Radar controllers for Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton are at West Drayton and the London Area controllers are at the seaside. The Approach sectors expect to move to Swanwick next year (I think). The Heathrow controllers (of which I was one) moved to West Drayton about 12 years ago and the other airports followed suit (or were Gatwick there before us? Can't remember). There are no radar controllers at any of the above-mentioned airports.

Maybe you are both correct !!

All the Approach Radar units you mention are at LTCC, West Drayton ( including Thames Radar and LL SVFR).
We are all going to move to the seaside at Swanick, allegedly in October 2007

Nah, that's just an elaborate picture they have placed over the sim windows.

Although, I'm told it didn't cost as much as them lovely scenes in the AC ops room.
