..........and at Humberside (not yet advertised), Norwich late this year/early 2006, and a whisper that Teesside, Highlands and Islands and Liverpool are also short but haven't made it public yet.

So, how many atco's would be really interested in moving then?

I suspect that the vast majority of atco's are, no matter what they say, reasonably happy with their lot.
Working conditions and pay will always be our major moan in life, but we have a good quality of life etc, and those of us who've moved because we want to, to other units really coudn't be arsed to do it again.

The older we get, the more settled we become, and even if we really did want to move, it would invariably mean increasing the mortgage by £50K for a £5K pay increase, that's before you've convinced her indoors it's a good idea, or considered the hassle of selling up and moving, and the small matter of passing new validations.

Well Terry, compared to the service provider at your place, Gloucester IS a successful, growing company!

39.4k, wouldn't wake up for that let alone move to Gloucester-cester-shire.
Belfast City, been there done that, couldn't afford the t-shirt.
Yeovil sounds like a good kick, considering it's not exactly Eeefrow, maybe in another 20 years.

Now you mention it, what about 'Eefrow? We're always on the lookout! Nice new 87m tall tower, in which all the brand new peices of equipment and new seating arrangement will obviously decrease our workload!
