Manchester Approach, Lymm Dam airstrip
Manchester Approach
Can you tell me if Lymm Dam airstrip is inside or outside your controlled airspace?
It's 1nm S of Lymm N5322.00 W00228.00
Would I need to speak to you for entry to land and take off from this location. 119.52 ???

It is definately inside, just - usual routing is for aircraft to call Manchester Approach approaching Thelwall VRP for clearance in to the zone and then a call to confirm when on short final at Lymm.

IIRC = Its 2 years since I left Manchester so the memory cells aren't what they used to be!
We used to get phone calls from the guy that used to fly out of there, as he was non-radio, requesting entry and we'd just watch him on radar. Coverage isn't brilliant that low though.
