Angry

If you have comments to make on the suitability of staff at any ATC unit, who can of course be easily identified, then perhaps you should give us your real name and location so that your peers and others on the board may apply the same kind of judgement to you ??

Play the ball and not the players

I am led to believe that as of 29 April 05, the AMS UK air traffic management business has become solely owned by the Italian firm Finmeccanica.

As Cool says - no connection with Finmeccanica. For AMS at Filton read -

BWoS

Be it Nimrod, Eurofighter or an ATC contract, it's nice to know they can Fk up with monotonous regularity - some things are just so certain in this world.

And the latest idea? Let's just have FISO's at the weekends and ATC during the week - that way we don't need any more ATCO's than the one's we've got, save some money and piss off the staff even more.

Even Gisajob shows more promise than these morons!

Extract from statement by Bae Systems

"The 50/50 AMS joint venture with Finmeccanica has been dissolved, with BAE Systems acquiring the UK part of the business and Finmeccanica acquiring the Italian part. In addition, Finmeccanica has acquired the AMS UK Air Traffic Management business."

I think that is pretty clear.

Barnwood

I think we at least know who our employers are - this thread being titled "the Filton saga" not "the AMS saga"

Didn't know you were worth that much Chilli

On a slightly different subject I hear that BAE systems uniforms have been introduced at Filton (a rather snazzy looking grey on grey ensemble) with sexy results

Then you'll have also heard the comments made by certain persons when asked to wear them for a photo shoot

Overtime? apparently we dont get paid overtime, it would have been nice if they had told us about that little addition to the contract before every man and his dog worked over and above for them.

I sense a RR style strike coming up.

ps does anyone have any spare change?

MATS

I tried to open your link, just to see if you'd improved the terms and conditions, but my Microsoft Antispyware went mental and wouldn't allow me access to it.
I also tried the airport web site, which works OK until you go to the vacancies link, and the same thing happened.

Either the computer recognises that the salary is still a joke or you've got ghosties and ghoulies on your server.
