These are relatively new rules which came into force a few years back, presumably because pilots less gifted than yourselves insisted on making approaches in poor weather and narrowly avoiding roads, railways and airport hotels etc. If these rules cause anyone a minor inconvenience, well, tough. I am obliged to file and will continue to file until such time the rules are changed.

File away, they dont cause me any inconvienience since Im operating within my legal limits. If your required to file then do so, makes no difference to me or any of the other guys flying in and out provided they operate legaly. My point wasnt about you or anyone else filing it was about back seat driving.

wow... I thought I was making an innocent comment (big mistake on PPRuNe, I'm learning)! But I remind you it was a pilot's comment about MORs which started it all... followed by the following, shal we say, fairly provocative statement?
I am happy to leave you to the flying... and like most of my colleagues glad to do the controlling bit... and will continue to use our best efforts to get youse guys to your destination.... whilst obeying the rules; call it a bite if you like, but please don't expect nil-response when unreasonable/unjustified slights are posted.
Please, can this thread get back to SMG/NQY now... out!

Are you frustrated that despite your best efforts to the contrary these commercial flights do get in?
