coventry airport

All seems to have gone quiet. I hope this is a sign that thomsonfly are making a go of it and have settled-in.

Is that the case?

Appologies if this is a bit of a daft question with an obvious answer, but why do Coventry ATC change frequencies? For example, in the week (day), Tower is 124.8 & Radar/app 119.25 then at night/weekends, Tower/app is combined in 119.25 and Radar becomes 122.0. Why don't they stick to the same freq's all the time?

Probably something to do with the DOC (or coverage) for the frequencies.

Yep, sorry, quiet in that little noise about ...
ATCOs being 'laid off' just before their start date,
the need for more ATCOs,
Thomsonfly going to leave,
the need for planning permission,
concerns about the future of the airport.
