Talking Calling all ATCO's at Hurn

Hi,

I am going through the selection process and have a final interview at Hurn in a couple of weeks.

I am trying to find out as much as I can about life at the College and as an ATCO. I wondered if anybody fancied meeting up one night and going for a few beers in Bournemouth.

I will be buying!!!!!!!!

If you do not know what life is like as an ATCO and you have reached the selection stage, a few beers in Boscombe will not help. Visit an ATC unit for the day, plug in, talk to the ATCO's, ask many questions, but above all realise that this job can pay well if you dedicate your life and career to it!

Good luck my friend with your career

Thanks for the advice OrsonCart.

As it happens I am going for a tour of LATCC this afternoon. I also visited Kissimmee ATCU in Florida when I did my PPL(A). I may also try the unit at Hurn.

I really aspire to become an ATCO and from everything that I have been told, there is tough competition for places on the course at Bournemouth. If I only learn one thing from meeting an ATCO in Boscome over a beer than it would be a worthwhile exercise for me.

So the offer still stands!!
