Post AC to have their shifts changed?

Heard today that Mr Wobbly & co are trying to get through a plan for some of AC to finnish their Afternoons at 1am the next day and for some of the Morning duty to start at 5am. That gives a 4hr gap to be covered by the Night thus giving a saving on Night duty manpower.

The words "yours" and "up" spring to mind.

As I understand the PSS, those shifts would be classed as a night duty and would therefore attract a sleep day. Wouldn't that make matters worse?

Any change to working practices would have to go to a ballot. Shall we start a sweep on the % vote against helping NATS out of the mess THEY have caused.

I reckon NATS Management would enter this sweep with a bid of 105%.......but then again, they ARE good at figures, aren't they !!

Talking

Yes Colin, my missing 2% were those who are long term sick or who have retired but still get to vote. Tell you what, to keep it fair don't you think that the vote should be amongst all NATS staff, after all if TAG get their way they all get a share of the NERC opening bung it's only those underworked, overpaid lazy ATCO's who are delaying things.

Sorry , should have given my own predictions so here goes-
Turnout ---- 82%
Bog Off NATS ---- 98%
Oh go on then I love it here really ---- 2% (and that's only the Watch Managers who as we know are out of touch with reality anyway.!)

PS Can anyone tell me how to get the smilies- it doesn't seem to work on this system?

Please help me out here because I am finding
it difficult to follow. You have incompetent management who are obsessed with something called O-date and they are prepared to sacrifice your home lives , your health, your sanity, your rest to this. You are not entitled to be sick, or fatigued,
despite having to work on rest days and
drive 130 miles to work to handle a pressure
job and overloads because further delays are unacceptable to your customers..
If you voice any criticism of this management
you are labelled a tank and sniper.
Oh, and of course, you don’t get your bonus
crumbs, or if you do, loads of other people
who have not had to endure the above will have to be included in the feeding frenzy .
But now, management are taking action!!
Not to help you all out in these difficult times, in fact not a word of how they can help you with some of your problems. Just assurance that the ORO will somehow find a way to screw a bit more out of you.
I can only assume that despite your comments
you represent a mere handful and are
these very same tanks and snipers. Obviously, there are about 300 other people who are happy to be treated as above. Could anyone tell me what pills they are on, because I think I need them?

I can only say that apart from the Spitfires I read on here, and yes, I shall call you the few, thank god Hitler didn’t have an army of ATCOs to face or we would all be talking German now.

The reality is LATCC management have no way out from their present dilemma. They have not produced an August watchlist because it will not work without a change in WPP. They need this by MONDAY!! Hence the apologetic letter from the GRM! If we do not roll over this time NERC cannot happen in January. Remember it is their jobs that are on the line!! They cocked up big time 18 months ago over the NTT ratio to students.
LATCC management want the union and workforce to help them out of this situation of their own making. No offer on the table except to curtail your leave next year!!!
