Post ATCO Vacancies

Not sure if I am in the right place but, could anybody tell me where I can find out about vacancies for ATCO's at Non-NATS airfields.

You might have more luck in the "ATC Issues" forum

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............

This IS the ATC Issues Forum (I think...........hang on, I'll check...............yup, it certainly is !)

Bollygirl, try writing a few letters to the ATC Manager at each of the aerodromes at which you think you might like to work.

There is a world-wide shortage of controllers at the moment, so it's the right time to try.

Good luck

Bollygirl,
as well as the airports try:
Senior Operations Manager
Serco Aerospace
Serco House
11 Bartley Wood Business Park
Bartley Way
Hook
Hants
RG27 9XB

Serco have a number of units around the country, and are always looking for Controllers.

Question

Bollygirl,

Just curious...why does it have to be a non-NATS airfield?

Cool

Bolly, are you asking on behalf of yourself, or for someone else?
I don't wish to be rude, but any qualified atco would have a good idea of who is employing who at the moment.
If you're an ex cadet who has an aerodrome rating but didnt make through the area/approach course, then I'm afraid you've got lot's of competition. The majority of non NATS airfields are training there own atco's at the moment, but the very large majority of these trainees are existing staff, (atca's who have been in the pipeline for sometime etc.).
If you want to email me with some info' about your exact situation, perhaps I can point you in the right direction.
(The person to write to at SERCO is Sally Johnston).

I think Bristol Lulsgate are short of ATCOs, but you will need an Approach rating, and preferably an Approach Radar Rating. A Met Obs Certificate would also do no harm.

Bollygirl

Airways NZ is actively recruiting but that would mean emigrating to EnZed.
Selection criteria are high and it is important you look good in leather!

Try www.airways.co.nz

The latest info should be available online, or at least a contact name and email address.

Cool

One thing though, we have been talking with our brothers from the north and a majority of them when polled said that they would leave NAV Canada if given a chance...

They are a rather large group of pissed off controllers right now..

regards

Snooze

Think Lulsgate have just filled the vacancy with someone from Filton.

And anyone asks if there's a Filton vacancy - not anymore
