Post Downunder Down and Out

Just a message of support to all our colleagues Downunder tomorrow as they withdraw their labour after a protracted and disgraceful dispute with management.. .A lot of lessons for us all lately.. .. .Good luck and best wishes.

Thanks for the support . .the stop works are over now..no known major incidents. yet! . .Very scary leaving SY Twr in the hands of a non rated QA lacky.. .. .Meetings very well attended, 95%+, and unanimous support to union in both SY and BN.. .Media are starting to get on side but still a long way to go there. . .AsA continue to obfuscate and tell untruths about the situation and their part in it.. .. .The outcome: private (non binding) mediation starts next Monday, chaired by a comissioner from the IRC.. .Two week period of no industrial action..Easter is safe!. .Still remains to be seen if AsA will finally talk in good faith.. .. .Cheers

There were at least 2 apparently.. .. .Would you go flying knowing these incompetents were on the screens?. .. .Hopefully they have been reminded why they employ controllers- they are back at the negotiating table now.. .. .Keep up the good work. Hahahahaha. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="rolleyes.gif" />

I'd just like to reinforce the message of support to the guys in Oz, from the other side of the world. As a (glad to be)ex-employee of AsA, I have to say that I have never come across a worse or more incompetent bunch of cowboys. That relates to the 'managers,' of course, not the guys at the coal face who by and large do a great job. Their approach to negotiations and employee relations in particular, is little short of cavalier and feudal. I hope you achieve the desired outcome - even if it is only to get them to the negotiating table.. .. .All the best to 375ml!. .. .GWYN
