Thumbs up Windy day at Newcastle

Exciting times coming into Newcastle this lunchtime in a light twin with 35 knots+ and bigger gusts right across the rwy.

Great sense of humour from App and Twr

"When erm... if you fly the missed approach, it will be straight ahead to 2500"

"Contact Twr now on ..... Good Luck"

Thanks to all for brightening up a very quiet mornings flying!

Seem to remember putting out ATIS's (NZ) that read 250/30G45 OCNL50 when the RWY vector was 16/34....now that was exciting to watch, esp when the crossing 07/25 was only 600m seal then 600m grass (SF34 seemed to be the only ones game to use it!)

Cool

2 donkeys, not a problem at all.
I trust you enjoyed your tour of the north of England making your two visual circuits after the go arounds. Just make sure its not below 2000' over sunderland or you'll get your wheels nicked.

boroatco.... you got the wrong guy

We were the puddlejumper inbound from EGBM, returning to Cambridge 15 minutes later.

The Cambridge boys who liked the local scenery so much were just waiting for our arrival out of courtesy

Angry

Well, well boroatco - I trust that comment wasn't made to provoke me in particular.

Doesn't your normal radar vectoring technique normally provide a tour of the North of England with an extended view of the North Sea for good measure?

Anyway, going downwind for 25 usually gets you a good view of the premier footballing facility in the North East (pity the team haven't been up to much lately )

Finally, a Happy New Year to yourself and my other friends at NT.
