Just done selection tests!!!!
Just back from selection day at Manchester. I came away not expecting good news. I found everything ok but the digramming and the spatial awareness tests very hard and didnt get all of the questions done. How did all you fortunate ones who passed it feel when you came away? Anyone know the passmark?

I felt exactly the same after my tests and I'm still here.
Some of the tests are designed so that you cannot finish them and therefore putting you under pressure.
From what I've seen the focus is on getting a high pecentage of answered questions correct, and not necessarily answering all the questions.

Hii No speed restriction,
I was in group B, the irish guy if U heard me speak. Which group were you in? How did you feel you did? Im not building up my hopes!!
Regards to the booklet, learn it all well. There were 2 questions on the test with regards to the a/c at the back
1. The speed of an A310
2. What route would a 737-200 fly?
the options for the 1st made it easy to guess
and the 2nd was london to 4 different airports but it was obvious it was oslo.

Hey Guys--- The VERY best of luck to you all. Don't be too nervous; often those who think they've done appallingly have often done extremely well. The sun's setting on me.. with remission for good behaviour I'll be out in a few months but I've thoroughly enjoyed the last 30 years and I hope you all do similarly..

Hey Rich Tea
Sounds like the paper has changed a bit since I was at this stage. Would you be able to scan, zip and email me a copy to the address you contacted me on about the recruitment web pages. I'd like to add it for future wannabes.
Cheers
GW

If I see another flatenned box again it will be 10 billion years too soon!!!!
Hi RT. I must have missed at least ten of those before the time ran out. I'm not even confident of some of the ones that I DID manage to answer.
I'm pretty sure I missed at least ten of the coded ones as well.
Confident of me getting an interview?? I think not!
Best of luck to you, though, RT.

Best of luck to you all!
If it's any consolation, I came out of my selection tests some time ago, absolutely convinced that I'd failed (the computer based tests in particular).
I must have done okay, though, 'cos they let me in!
Don't worry about needing to know exact seating configs, or exact speeds, or stuff like that. As long as you know roughly how fast, high, far etc different classes of plane go, you'll be okay. If you know you can't get 240 pax across the Atlantic in a PA28, you're sorted. (Oh, and any question about hot-air balloons, think very carefully before answering......)

Thanks for the reassurance! I'm still worried about how they use those psycho tests, though. I tried to be as honest as possible. Think that may not have been such a good idea, in fact, the men in white coats are knocking on the door as I type!
