Question Vancover BC

I'm bored fed up and I want a change of life.

Anybody in BC out there can maybe shed some light on ATCO status etc in Van or surrounding area - me's got the tickets....

Unless one of your tickets is Canadian citizenship, forget it.

One of the TC atco's who was forcibly sent next door to AC a couple of years ago resigned fairly recently to join Nav Canada.

He was Irish (Northern I think), if that makes any difference

regarding work in canada, visit
www.canada.org.uk

it will tell you all about who is eligible to go there. there is a self-assessment form from which you can gauge your eligibility to live and work in canada. you basically need 70 points on their scale and I would estimate from the form that most UK atcos willing to give it a go would easily pass the 70 point mark. (assuming NavCanada offers you a posting).

by the way...

the Irishman in Vancouver has successfully validated, is having a great time and reckons he's much better off overall than if he'd stayed in the UK.

Thumbs up

Bill

Thanks for that.

Does that fellow countryman of mine have an email address where I could ask him a few questions about Van?

Thanks in advance.

Arran,

Said Irishman was on my watch in TC before going next door. I'll ask around and see if anyone has contact details, I certainly saw him back visiting LATCC only a few weeks ago.
