Red face Turkish vs OAL

Here's the scenario...

THY 737 lands and is very, very slow to vacate the runway.
Aircraft lined up behind.
OAL 737 on final sent around by ATC. OAL says "I expected that"

Anyone else had this scenario with either rival nationals or airlines?

(typos)

Not quite like that, lots of impressions with say BAW and BMA, slow to taxi, thus delaying push of other company.#
Just friendly rivalry.
Often had times when EIN and RYR are virtually racing each other to the hold.

So long as it doesn't turn into a slanging match over the RT then there's no harm in it, so long as we are seen to be (and of course we are) completely impartial, and deliver the safe orderly and expditious service we're supposed to.

Red face

I once had the "pleasure" of a jump-seat on a NATO E-3A AWACS from Geilenkirchen.

(I'm a military controller, before anyone asks how I managed that)

The squadron planner must have had a mighty sense of humour, as he scheduled the Greek captain to fly with the Turkish co-pilot!

That was the most silent cockpit I have ever sat in - CRM went right out the window. Even the (highly experienced) mission crew down the back looked a bit nervous....
