Wink

I like the bit about the airlines wanting a GUARANTEE that NERC will open in January 2002. It seems that they have come to grips with a NATS "promise" very quickly - or perhaps they just read PPRuNe???

Cool

I wonder just who could possibly guaranteethat NERC will open on 27th Jan 2002?

Ahhh, yes, the same people who guaranteed that NERC would open in 1996 and 1998.

There is a line in one of my favourite films, The Battle of Britain. On hearing of Germany's Guarantees for Britain should she stay out of a European War, The British Ambassador to Switzerland states
Herr Hitlers' Guarantees, Guarantee nothing
Take note AG

There was a letter today from someone up in town, courtesy of our GM about the press story. It did NOT say that the story was wrong. Some of it appeared to be writtenin a foreign language though!

We have all been sent some glossy rubbish from the new bosses, including a feedback form. perhaps if we all reply and ask for clear communication, instead of this waffle... Well, y'never know...

Be careful about the feedback/survey forms. They did that here and found that people didn't trust management. Imagine that! Has prompted barage of working groups, action teams, "training", propaganda publications, etc. Maybe you want more "New Horizons" coffee mugs?

Hmmmmmmm, no problem in a guarantee that NERC will be open in January... They didn't say anything about everything WORKING <G>.

Seriously though, I wish all of you luck with the move. Yours will be tougher than our move to DSR over here since we were just dealing with new displays and keyboards. From what I have read, your changing a whole lot of what you do...

regards

Hi Scott

Thanks for that.

Well......when it was first planned, NERC was said to be able to increase traffic levels by 30% (our management are always fond of 30%, except when it comes to a pay rise ......)

ANYWAY......the thing is, those figures applied to 1989 and - already - the existing Centre is handling approximately SIXTY % more than in 1989. Now I MIGHT be proved wrong on the figures here, but I am sure someone will correct them if I am way off.

GO FIGURE !!!!!!!
