Question Blue Star

Hello Everyone. I was up at EGNM recently and an aircraft came in with the callsign BLUE STAR. When I finally saw it, it was a British Airways from EGLL. Now I thought BA flights from or to EGLL were called Speedbird? Now it was on behalf of British Midland I think. Has this got anything to do with it? Comments? Thanks a lot.

Blue Star is Maersk Airlines, a British Airways franchise/partner airline.

Aircraft are in BA colours.
