Talking Ive got an interview!

Hi. Just thought I'd let the people know who replied to my previous messages I got invited down to the assessment centre for NATS in Manchester. Not till January though! Plenty of time to prepare. I sent the online form off at 2pm on friday and received an offer yesterday morning. It gave me a bit of a shock when the email arrived. I'm one step closer now anyway. Just wondering if anyone had any tips for the day. I know there is a post with all the info in it I was just wondering if anyone had anything different to offer. People who have been on a recent test day.

Thanks

You wont have an interview at the first stage.

The day will (probably, unless it's changed!) consist of some psychometric tests and personality-type and learning style questionnaires. You will also get a talk and Q/A session with an ATCO.
The questionnaires are not pass/fail, but are there to provide a profile for the personnel interview which you will get at the second stage a few weeks (months?) later if you pass the psychometric tests.
The second stage consists of a technical interview and some computer tests as well as the personnel interview.

Good luck!

And also mental arithmetic, spatial awarenes and manipulation tests, which ARE pass/fail.

To be honest most of it is paperwork you have multiple choice questions and you have to answer them quickly to a time limit. Dont worry to much about it but you should get something in the post to assist you with this. Also you get a video on ATC and then some more written tests. Once you pass this you go on to the harder tests which I wouldnt worry to much about just yet.

...and if you don't get the link/doesn't work/deleted the email then pm me and I'll send you the document so hopefully you won't have to travel 3hrs+ twice within the space of a week, like me!

Have a look at this site. It gives you some practise tests.
