AIP 6 September
My Reporting Points site now has the changes from the 6 September issue of the AIP. As usual, a couple of questions for those in the know:
As ever, grateful thanks for all info. There is still a gradual trickle, but I am convinced there is still a lot more history to be documented.

- How did ROKOS get its name - random letters or something more clever?
- Whats going on with the London/City STARs? Lots of changes, so maybe the need for a short article!

I nreply to your question about EGLC, the change is all to do with new NERC procedures. Presently all the `Alkin` arrivals (LC,KB,MC,TO) route via LYD VOR but at NERC, to keep the traffic wholly within Sector 20 (Dover Low) rather than Sector 19 (Lyd). To do this, the traffic has to re-route via the new point ROKOS and then to SANDY. Hope this is of some use. Cheers, BB.

Thanks Bewli and Roger. Would I be right then that this amalgamation of your posts......
The change is all to do with new NERC procedures. Presently all the `Alkin` arrivals (London City, Biggin Hill, Southend, Rochester) route via LYD VOR. With NERC, there is a need to keep the traffic wholly within Sector 15 (Dover Low) rather than Sector 17 (Lyd). To do this, the traffic has to re-route via the new point ROKOS and then to SANDY.
....is correct? I plan to include a paragraph of explanation on my site, so some thoughts on this would be welcome.
Velclip - thanks for the confirmation that I too am a nerd!! :-)
Still need to know how ROKOS got its name.
Please keep the infor coming.

Information from 1 November AIP now up there. Two new points - RINTI and XIGAR.
As usual, background to the choice of names needed. Also, still waiting for somebody to enlighten me about "RVSM Entry/Exit Points".
Keep the info coming.

Many thanks to the supplier of the reasoning behind the 10W names.
Any volunteers to write a paragraph on what they are for and why they have appeared?
Cheers
