I actually agree with vlad the impailer. you only really come into this job if you have an interest in aviation. For those who don't, Area, will do ! for the rest of us, well I like to look at the aeroplanes. For anyone that, says all you do is, clear to land or clear for take off, they have obviously forgotten crossed runways at ther collage!! its miuch more interesting, than 10nm apart sitting in the dark, come and work at a none NATS airfield with GA traffic going ten to the dozen and IFR aswell, oh sorry forgot you can't, well an experience you'll have to live without

go for aerodrome totally unaquivically without dobt. unless
you have no interest in aviation whatsoever and just want to play a big computer game.

As for the length of time taken after finishing training, according to CAP744 you must have commenced the unit training plan within 6 months of finishing the approved training course (ie the college).

thats not the fly bhoy i went to the college with, spouting all that drivel. you my boy are well and truly institutionalised... or by the sound of it you should be.

and while im here... hurn-ia.
if your whole course is gonna validate, you might want to start with you all passing your written first. its a long road to be making sweeping statements..... the course mugs seem to be getting more empty than full......... sorry i mean glass

Tony 21, we just like to think we'll pass. the ROT that seems to fill some of the people in this profession hasn't yet hit us!
You should try being a little more supportive of your collegemates.

Tony 21 isn't being unsupportive, he's being completely realistic. All of us who are/have been at the college know what a challenge it is and have the utmost respect for anyone who goes for it.

However, the reality is that getting through the college (let alone validating!) without someone on the course failing are very, very slim.

Of course this doesn't make it inevitable, but don't mistake harsh truths from people ahead of you for cynicism.
