Post nerc comms

I live about 4 m. from Swanwick, and on Sunday I heard a lot of traffic on 135.05 and 126.07 complaining about bad comms. Anyone know the reason ?. BTW, from here I can pick up both crew and controllers and I must say that the N.E.R.C. sounded very patchy compared to usual reception on my scanner. . Regards Dinsdale.
