Well we could do with some new sofas at LACC so I guess buying this well known furniture store will get them a good discount on them.

Nats bought itself by borrowing money from the banks to pay to the government, so I dare say it could repeat the trick.......it`s no more a stupid idea than PPP was/is

Radarero NATS should get the money from a lender. It would be 100% in line with European single sky objectives.

Why not? Lots of companies buy others with borrowed cash. The DFS guys could help NATS in a number of areas - especially projects. I think NATS should definateley buy DFS and the Maastricht if/when Eurocontrol privatises it.

NATS to buy DFS

I believe it when I see it...

In fact, hell freezes over before NATS buys DFS.

Besides it would rather be vice versa.

So, the conclusion is: NATS to buy DFS is nuts...

Small problem in your theory Spuds. The article says the German govt is looking to raise cash by selling DFS not spend more by buying NATS.

Can we put this in proper perspective.

The article says nothing about NATS buying DFS. All it says is that DFS might be privatised.

Bloomberg doesn't seem to realise that the Germans have been talking about privatising DFS for years - and wanted NATS to jump first - so it's not a new story.

In any case, there'll be no DFS privatisation unless the German legislators allow it.
